Shimira’s forward-thinking and risk-taking have allowed her to capitalize on opportunities as a multi-time social entrepreneur. In 2018, she co-founded C.C. Busy, a startup that uses digital assistants to give the power of voice to family child care homes.
Shimira’s ventures lead to collaborations with other Pittsburgh businesses and volunteering with organizations supporting startups, STEM, and early childhood education, such as with her company TEKStart (a licensed home-based group child care facility).
Shimira has held two fellowships focused on child development, learning, and media with the Commonwealth and Saint Vincent College.
