Danielle Davis, Ph.D.

Founder and President, Davis Consulting Solutions

Danielle Davis, Ph.D. also known as MsDavisofPgh, offers a business day interpretation of the Chinese proverb: “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”

Driven by a deep passion to play a leading role in community economic development, Dr. Davis founded DCS in 2011. She grew up in Pittsburgh and is keenly aware of the city’s transformation from a robust industrial economy, to a struggling economy, to a revitalized and diversified economy with a bold vision for the future. Danielle has trained and consulted with scores of job seekers, entrepreneurs, and small business leaders. Her work has included corporate, governmental, nonprofit, and faith-based organizations, as well as extensive volunteer service. Dr. Davis and the network of DCS Associates stand ready to help you achieve higher levels of performance and productivity.

Dr. Davis led and supported diversity initiatives for minority, women, and disadvantaged businesses, for the Housing Authority City of Pittsburgh (HACP). She did the same to help faith-based organizations increase participation in contracting, Section 3 opportunities, and procurement. She monitored, tracked, and incorporated processes for procurement contracts totaling $800 million. Danielle designed and implemented HACP’s “Engaging Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs) in Community Development” Strategic Plan that increased engagement of FBOs by 75%.

She served on several boards and committees such as the Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (M/W/DBE) Governmental Committee and the Implementation Working Team for the Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grant (CNI) of East Liberty/Larimer communities where $62 million was leveraged for community development. Her efforts helped to increase the capacity of CNI’s Service Coordination Network potential by 20%.
