Community Involvement

It's through efforts such as this with the Point Park University Community Engagement Program, under the leadership of Dr. Heather Star Fiedler, that Ms. Davis and some of her cohort members has had the privilege of volunteering within the community.

Community: DCS has over 20 years of advocacy, volunteerism, and employment experience related to the well-being of humans, deterioration of the environment’s natural resources, and decline in access to affordable education. We also have over 20 years of administrative and business background, which enables us to provide the guidance required for an individual, group, or organization to pursue a stated objective systematically.

Other events such as the Urban Green Growth Collaborative Gatherings, under the leadership of Fred Brown of The Kingsley Association, Ms. Davis and some of her associates has had the privilege of sharing relevant information to community members, business owners, organizations and other stakeholders. Some of the services included:

Professional and Management Development Training:
This industry is comprised of establishments primarily engaged in offering an array of short duration courses and seminars for management and professional development. Training for career development can be provided directly to individuals or through employers' training programs; and courses may be customized or modified to meet the special needs of customers. Instruction can be provided in diverse settings, such as the establishment's or client's training facilities, educational institutions, the workplace, or the home, as well as through other means, including written correspondence, television, the Internet, or other electronic and distance-learning methods. The training provided by these establishments may include the use of simulators and simulation methods.

Organizational Development:
This industry also includes athletes and other celebrities exclusively engaged in endorsing products and making speeches or public appearances for which they receive a fee. This group relates to communicating ideas through written materials, such as writing news stories and articles, television scripts, and movie reviews. Speech writing and composing copy for advertisements are also examples of tasks performed by people involved in this type of industry.
